Pretty good!! This is found in the "Healthy Foods" Freezer section at Walmart! It is the first dish I have tried from The Good Kitchen for Walmart menu. Overall, the veggies were great, spicing and flavors were on point, but the chicken was a little on the dry side.
This dish came in at 180 calories with pretty low fat (5g) and a good serving of protein (21g). Overall, this is SUPER low in calories for a whole "meal"!! However, it is pretty much just low calorie veggies with some chicken mixed in. And I think MAYBE the portion is a little smaller than what you get in the delivery service?? It still seemed like a pretty filling dish, although I also enjoyed mine with my own homemade smoothie. It was a delightful pairing!
This was only $6.94 at Walmart!! Compared to my usual $11-$13 price point for the delivery service, this was a nice savings!!
Will I Re-Order?
Maybe....the low price of only $6.94 for the same quality of food and same clean ingredient list as the delivery service is much more appealing. However, the meal wasn't crave-worthy. This is much more reasonable for every day meals though, especially to have as a lunch! If you are trying to stick to a Whole30 diet, this would also be super easy and perfect!
Honestly, when I opened the package and saw the ingredients in the container before I cooked it, I almost just threw it away. It looked gross and I wasn't all that excited to try it. But, I cooked it anyway, especially since this gem had cost me $15!! I must say that I was actually pleasantly surprised when I ate it! It was really good!! The broccolini and asparagus both shocked me with how fresh and tasty they were! And the lamb burger was fantastic with the tomato jam on top. It had a good amount of spice and felt like a complete meal.
This dish came in at 560 calories. It was a "Keto" meal, so it was high in fat (44g), low in carbs (10g), and also had a good amount of protein (33g). I would have preferred there not be "Xanthan Gum" or "Calcium Chloride", but what do I know???
I got the smallest package with NO discount, so this dish cost me a WHOPPING $15. I honestly wasn't paying much attention to the subscription price when I ordered, and I also thought I did have some kind of a discount code applied.....turns out I did NOT! So I paid $60 for 4 meals.
Will I Re-Order?
Honestly - no. NOT AT THIS PRICE. For $15, I can Uber Eats something fabulous. I would re-order ONLY if I had a good discount code.
